Mechanical Design

From concept design to product improvement, value engineering and cost reduction. A wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes can be brought to bear on the design process to ensure that your product is the optimum design for efficient manufacture.

Drafting Service

We use SolidWorks for part and assembly modelling in order to enable efficient creation of your manufacturing drawing packages. We will apply all tolerancing, including geometric tolerancing, as appropriate to the chosen method of manufacture.

Design Change and Configuration Control

We will develop and manage your systems to ensure controlled, documented and audit compliant design change.

Structural Analysis / Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

We will conduct preliminary and/or detailed analysis of your product design by utilizing the SolidWorks Simulation (previously known as COSMOS) software package.

Product Risk Management / Design FMEA

We can organize your risk assessment meetings, create or improve your product risk management process and generate risk management documentation including FMEAs to the international standards you require.

Product Testing

We can organize testing by external bodies, for example BSI and EMC test houses including the preparation of all pre-test documentation.

Project Management

For new product introduction, product improvement and process improvement. We will:

  • Coordinate the work of all technical and other disciplines
  • Prepare and maintain realistic timing plans throughout the project
  • Provide regular reports to clients, end customers, senior management and other stakeholders as appropriate

Process Improvement

We can set up and lead cross functional teams in order for you to achieve improvements to your manufacturing processes. We can help you to implement any product design, jig design and process changes that result from our investigations.

Process FMEA

We can set up and run your Process FMEA system to enable you to monitor the risks in your processes and so identify and put in place the most cost effective quality controls.

Management Systems Improvement

We can help you to develop efficient and robust management processes and we can then document these in order to meet externally audited standards. We are familiar with several international Quality Management Systems Standards including: ISO 13485 (medical devices), ISO 16949 (Automotive), ISO 9001 (General).

Addressing Product Concerns

If you need to improve how you address product concerns and customer complaints, we can set up the process and the teams to do this. We will use problem solving techniques such as 8D (8 disciplines) to enable you to establish the root cause in a structured manner.
